Dead Man Walking: Meet Sister Helen Prejean
On Wednesday, March 1, please join WCL’s National Lawyers Guild Chapter as they host Sister Helen Prejean, anti-death penalty activist and author of the book “Dead Man Walking.” Sister Prejean’s book was turned into a film by the same name starring Susan Sarandon.
She will also be joined by Death Row Exoneree Kirk Bloodsworth, who spent nine years in jail for a crime he did not commit and was the first American to be exonerated from Death Row by post-conviction DNA evidence.
