Yesterday evening, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed his reply to the Petitions for Writs of Actual Innocence filed on behalf of Thomas Haynesworth on February 3. In his extremely supportive reply, Mr. Cuccinelli makes his opinion of Mr. Haynesworth’s wrongful conviction clear: “Given the character and totality of the new evidence, the Commonwealth agrees that the writs should expeditiously issue and Haynesworth’s convictions should be vacated.”
